Gear Review Klymit Canyon Tents

Postby Lefty » 08 07, 2023 •  [Post 1]

Ive been using our Klymit Canyon 2-man and 3-man tents. While not a backpacking tent they are relatively lighter in weight and I would pack in the three-man Canyon for two people for short trips
My wife bought these tents at Al's Sporting (Logon Utah) She is too much like her dad, if it's way too cheap,,, buy it whether its needed or not

The tent has a rectangular shape and can be set up in a variety of ways for sleeping. easily fits me and my dog( AKA bed-hog) and me. A two-man tent that would sleep two and the three man could easily sleep 3.

The Cross Canyon Mat is a unique feature that also serves as a bag for rolling up the tent and keeps the work surface clean during set up and repacking. That is one feature I really liked. Our Daughters have3 used these tents and were able to easily pack the tent themselves
The tent is made with lightweight and sturdy aluminum poles. The front vestibule has multiple anchor points and provides ample storage space that is protected from wind and rain.
The tent has three overhead pockets and two corner pockets, offering plenty of storage options inside. It is also capable of a fast-fly setup.
Zippered doors on both sides.

Ive set up well over 100 different kinds of tents in my life. These Canyon tents could be set up blindfolded. Just plain easy. Rolling back up is a cinch too, and they fit the rollup mat-style bag, A good value
I've had the 2 man up in windy rainy weather 25 mph winds and it worked just fine. I would say both tents are plenty good for April through October conditions if the fly is anchored properly.

Two man

Three man Plenty of outside storage under the vestibule I plan to keep the 3-man tent in my pickup
