A place to buy gear.

Postby Lefty » 01 28, 2022 •  [Post 1]

I was waterfowl hunting and camped the same place as a very hardcore 65 year old adventurer!
We eventfully got around to talking gear,, mostly his gear.
His camp looked like a high end add for all things outdoors, 15 years ago!!
He had been buying from a college rec department in Montana where he had retired as a maintenance guy.
I still have skis and skates bought from a University,, A buddy outfitted his family with White-water gear from Idaho State University .

Anyway if you are in a college town check em out

Another good place to look at is Optics Planet. For years, I overlooked it thinking the only sold cameras and optical equipment. But recently discovered they have a very good selection of hunting stuff.

RJ you might hit them up to be a sponsor! ;)

I think we had them as a sponsor for a while... I'll go back and check but you bet, they're a good company. I'm pretty sure I've got some products from them.

Why? What is the difference between my Marino wool sweaters and some 80-dollar ones? The only hunting things I get from Mal Wart are Slick Trick broadheads, bow hangers at ten for a dollar, and Mountain House meals. It used to be you could go there after Christmas and get some great deals. I am not finding much there anymore, so I am going back to Good Will.
