What’s your secret shame when it comes to that/those piece(s) of hunting gear that you just can’t settle on, always looking to improve upon, can’t seem to quit buying when you see something that may be better, even though you have one or several already that are functional ;)

Clothes, broad heads, packs, headlamps (headlamps are mine), boots, tree stands, bipods, calls, etc. Let’s hear em.

Got to agree with the headlights one. Seems like every year I get 1-2

I’m always buying cheap shirts when they go one sale too...hard to pass up $1-2 for a shirt

I have been adding trail cameras but I think I will slow down on that and not get any this year

Predator calls. Im a sucker for a nice hand made call. I have my favorites that i use the most, but try to take all of them out for a hike now and then. Just bought a nice open reed black walnut call with a hippo ivory toneboard. Should be waiting for me when i get home.

Trail cameras. This has pretty much stopped as i now have far more cameras than time to set them all. But a cell cam or two would be nice.

Guns. Theres always just 1 more gun that would be great to have for some very specific purpose or another.

Mouth calls I probably have 20 different 1's but I think I've settled on 1 for now or until the next 1 come out. Lol
And guns I just bought a 47 70 golden boy that I didn't need, but wanted. Now I have to find ammo for it.

Tree stand snacks. I purchase too many then freeze them until next year, when I again buy too many.

I really had to think on that one,..

Bino harness,,,, no, certainly not knives, or pickups,
I wear out tents, or the weather destroys them. So not tents

Ive gone through a few bows. one at 5, one at 6 one at 10. Still have the one I got at age 13. Then the Mathews Switchback I bought used form Dave,.. so maybe "no" on bows

Wife,, stuck it out with me, 8-) ( Ok that was a pretty sweet deal  )

May Ill go with Sleeping bags.
I never wore out my SlumberJack Hollowfill I bought about 1978.
I still use both of the bags we got for a wedding gift!
The another XL tall ( for bigger guys) Slumberjack used mostly Scouting and hunting.
Then a couple Big Johnsons ( Black Pines)
My Daughters snuck my new Kymit down bag out of the house and it "disappeared" So I bought another

Overall Im quite sure what I want or need before I buy it

Knives. I have always had a fascination with them.I must have 3 dozen of them in various sizes.Of course I have been known to lose more than a few

I'm really good at saying "no" to the impulse buyer in me. But the most tempting items, the ones I say "no" to most often, have to be boots. The good idea fairy also tries to tell me my bow needs upgrading on a pretty frequent basis.
