Bino harness what's everyone using

Postby Fridaythe13th » 05 05, 2021 •  [Post 1]

I'm in the market for a new bino harnes. I currently have a badlands but 2 thing I hate about it is. 1. The magnet that closes the case slams shut and make a heck of a noise 2. The biggest one is the rings that attach to your binos get caught in the mesh on the inside of the bino case. And that pisses me off the most. In more than 1 occasions I well looking up a hill and something catches my eye so I reach for my binos and it's caught in the mesh so I have to look down to undo, now when I look back up the hill it's gone.
I maybe be in the market for a harness that has a little storage because this year I might try to go light only carrying water, food, knife, windicater, and a spare release.
My binos are 10x42 vortex razors.

Thank for the help

I just seen those on top of the page as a sponsor. Did you get the MAX or without the bottom zipper?

I use the Leupold harness that came with the binoculars. It holds the binoculars in place, quiet and comfortable. It is easy to use and I can get my binoculars up for viewing when I want to see something.

I have the FHF Gear harness. It's comfortable, holds my wind check and I have the rangefinder holder as well. I really like it. The only downfall I see is that the sides are open at the very top so stuff can find it's way in in thick brush, or blowing snow/rain. But even in really crappy conditions it seems to be very minimal. I don't see myself changing that setup anytime soon.
I hunt therefore I am. I fish therefore I lie.

I haven't been really happy with any harness or case since archery hunting.
My binos go in of a $13.00 ALPS case no strap during archery of goose season.

Even tried an Alaskan copy knockoff,.. with a little training it would be great with a rifle,,.

The only thing I've seen with them is a PRO (guide, LEO, active/retired military) discount code on Guidefitter.com for one.

I have the Vortex pouch and have been very happy with it. Does just what it needs to do and the latch holds well, but slips off silently when needed.

I guess my Alaska Guide Creations pouch is for sale. My rangefinder doesn’t fit so I bought a Badlands last year with the pocket on the bottom for my Leica. So far so good after one season.
