Early Christmas

Postby LckyTylr » 12 23, 2012 •  [Post 1]

I'm officially the luckiest guy in the West.

Between my Wife's Christmas present to me, some good fortune, graduation gifts from work and my parents graduation gift to me . . . this is what I've been blessed with in the last week.

New Vortex Viper 6.5-20x50 scope for my Rem 700 7mm RUM (sorry Paul, Wife didn't know that you were a seller).
New Bowtech Assassin (parents)
New drop-away rest (parents)
New bow case (parents)
New plastic arrow case (parents)
New Havalon Piranta (work)
New Sitka 45 pack (Sitka warranty'd my Bivy 30 that broke this fall and all i had to do was pay the upcharge for the larger 45)

I just can't believe it all. This was all stuff that I had planned out to purchase between now and the coming archery season . . . and here it all is. I just don't know what to do with myself, it's all so unexpected. Just incredible, I'm beside myself and can't believe how fortunate I am to have such friends and family in my life.

Thanks Guys. Apparently my recliner isn't big enough, I can't hold my rifle and my new bow on my lap and type at the same time . . . . and it's really hard to type with both hands clutched on my new tools-o'-the-trade. :-) I still can't believe it.

I bought all of my previous hunting gear before I joined the AF, then, after 4 years in the AF, I have been a college budget hunter for 5 years. I was anticipating some updates after graduating, but I was planning on paying for it all myself.

I'm just one LUCKY SOB!!!

Now I officially have no excuses for not killing my first bull in 2013. :)

Yes they must. Something about being proud . . . or that's what it sounded like. ;)
