anyone use the gaia app on iphone for hunting. wondering thoughts compared to onx and does it use alot of battery even on airplane mode.

I have used it on a couple trips out west and here at home.
I like it and on my iphone it uses very little battery. I just download the area I am going per WIFI before I get into the woods.

Mostly because I now hunt the same areas over and over. Programs are so inclusive and incredible now days


I was a huge paper map user and spent a lot of time looking at Army Co of Engineer maps setting up trap lines, Predator Indexes, travel use, water flow crossings .

I have a developed sense of direction and tend to use free programs; now.Avensa Federal, State, Google maps fill my needs .
