"1/3rd" size elk target

But 1/3rd the size of what?

I'm thinking that that size/configuration is meant to be used kind of like the military 25M qualification targets. The military targets represent distances out to 300Ms, but, is fired at from only 25M's away. No, you wouldn't be shooting at the elk target out to XX yards and expecting it to create the same represented size of a full size elk (including the vitals size). Instead, you'd shoot at it perhaps at 25-30 yards? Brings a whole new meaning to "aim small, miss small". Not sure, just spit balling ;).. Cool target.

I think you are right RJ. I suppose the elk is 1/3 the height and length of a normal branched bull elk. The way some people shoot, I would hope they move that 1/3 scale target far away from the side of my house before they started shooting. I would hope they call pooch to them, or tie him up somewhere far away before the shooting starts.

That dog cant be outside when carbon is flying. shes just flat out crazy, wants to chase the arrows.
