Dan, awesome! I've really be interested in trying out a Havalon Knife, which one is the most durable or would you highly recommend?

The biggest drawback with the regular Piranta's is the blades will break on you in the area the snap into the metal holder. This is when you are using them with pressure on the blade, so, it isn't always doing it. So, you may go through a few blades, however, the good news is the blades are cheap so if you break one, then you put another on. The other option is the barracuta which has a MUCH thicker and longer blade than the piranta. The extra blades on these are more expensive though, and the knife is heavier. The other option is the new Piranta torch, it has a 20% heavier blade than the Piranta Z or Edge, but the extra blades cost almost double what the regular Piranta blades cost.

Me, personally I will stick with the Piranta edge and just carry a few more blades. I think you can get it down to not breaking too many blades as well. It will just take more use.
