Sewing it your self gear

I was looking at Ripstop by the Rolls' site.
Ive made a few things, a couple layout goose blinds, boat blinds and plan to make a wall tent ( with my daughters help ).
Ive always wanted to make a down-feather tick from my own feathers and down. My brother use to fall camp in Northern Mn and used a large tick.
Also thinking of a few dog items a bed and a back pack

anyone make their own gear, tents, bags etc?

I made a blaze orange panel out of 1000d Cordura. Biggest pain in the arse trying to run the sewing machine and I became very proficient with a stitch remover. Guess I should have hung out with Grandma a little more instead of always going to the farm with Grandpa. My hats off to the guy's who can do it.

Sewed up some Frostline kits in my teens.

Made a set of paniers for my dog when I use to go backpacking a lot.

Lot of fun.
