poison arrow decoy?

Postby Randle » 10 06, 2016 •  [Post 1]

I just picked up a used decoy . Been wanting one for awhile. For those who have used it for a few years now, what do think?
I have played with it a bit and find it doesn't fit as well as I would like in my quiver. The decoy rod seems to close to the arrow while in the the gripper . I actually bought it thinking I would use it next to me in a tree.
How have you guys used it . On the bow, on a tree?

Yes sir, they work and work well; I'll never hunt without one in my quiver. I use an Alpine quiver and the PAG decoy fits perfectly... I'll try to remember to take a pic of mine in the non-deployed state later and post it. If you could post a pic of the "fit" issue you're having, maybe we can work out a solution (I know quivers are different and it sometimes takes some fine tuning to get the decoy to mount solid in the quiver). Lastly, I send James/PAG Decoys a note and ask him if he'll chime in.

There are some issues if you have the type of quiver that has two grippers. You will notice that the rod that runs vertical is offset from the slot. The rod needs to be on the outside of the slot when mounted in your quiver. If you continue to have problems pm me and I will give you my number and I will talk you through your problem.

Great thanks I will mess with it more this weekend. The graphics are outstanding and the material is quiet compared to other decoys. I really want to make this work. I am probably going to change to a tight spot quiver also.
