Two Way Satellite Communicator

Postby SarcasmPhD » 07 05, 2016 •  [Post 1]

I'd appreciate any input, suggestions, personal preference on the type of two way communicator you use in the backcountry, like a Delorme inReach or a Garmin Rino, when you're out of cell service. I hunt solo and for my wife's peace of mind, being able to touch base will help keep her from going mental while I'm gone.

Thanks in advance!

I've been using the inreach for 3 seasons and have had no problems so far. Linking it to your smart phone is much easier if you send a lot of messages or get long winded. I have a disabled wife that I need to keep in touch with so I leave mine on most the time and I can get several days on a charge. I think you will like it. Randy

I have the Delorme Inreach SE as well. Will be using it for my 3rd season this year.
