UV blocking products, anyone?

I used to wash hunting clothes w a detergent that claimed to have no scent. Also claimed it would not brighten UV frequencies of light in clothes, which are much more visible to animals than to humans. Then I used a UV Killer spray on clothes for the same reason. Anyone else use these products? Used them up, wondering if it is worth the $ to replace them. Thanks in advance.

I use a number of scent free products and UV killers because UV kill makes a huge difference hunting waterfowl and Im sort of a scent free freak.
Many products( non hunting) are labeled no fragrance or scents added. However often the chemical in fragrant free has an odor or smell.(ALL, Tide and Kirkland brands)

Even during non-huning season all my hunting clothing except underwear and socks are washed in UV blocking/scent free, and or nano silver washes..
In the past I havent needed UV killers .,.. But I was given a bottle of UV kill this summer and I will use it up.
I believe in the science not the sales hype

i have decided to use the UV killer spray on all of my stuff that glows under a UV/blacklight. i got a UV/blacklight flashlight from Walmart for like $6 and it really opened my eyes to what glows in my hunting gear. I believe the science behind the products and the research done into how deer and elk see, so i am not taking any more chances when i go out hunting.

I don't know. Just like the oozonics machine, it might be amazing, and it might be snake oil. I just dont know. I hope someone else has an opinion.

We did not use UV blockers last season, and my hunting partner was almost invisible when not moving in his camo outfit. (Max-1) I don't know if the elk could see him better than I but it seemed like as long as he did not move, they had trouble picking him out.

I am interested that Lefty seems sold on UV products for waterfowling as I have not generally used them in that application either.

Ozonics has been used in the medical health industry for decades. However I believe it is more effective for the human smell problems than for wildlife,.. but I really dont know.

UV for water fowl is huge. Waterfowl seen much more than what many would even think. I use to redirect goose and crane flights by placing a camo coat that had been washed with regular soap with brighteners.
The cranes weren't that smart but they tended t follow the geese flight patterens

so, i have a question for the group. i have a pop up blind that when tested with a black light it is a little hot in the UV range. so , i plan on using UV killer on the blind to quiet down the hot spots. i also want to add a good heavy coat of waterproofing spray to the pop up as well. in what order would you do the 2 treatments or does it even matter? just looking for thoughts on what yall might do.

We have always used Sportwash for our camo,Scent free and uv blocker. Does it work? I don't know I have no way to quantify its effectiveness but I have had quite a few deer come close to me while hunting from the ground. I feel more confident with it. It's not to expensive either.
