Canvas wall tent

Postby MidwestHunter » 04 02, 2016 •  [Post 1]

Anyone have a canvas wall tent they are looking to get rid of? Been looking at Davis wall tents new, but the extra money for frame connectors and the shipping is stopping me from pulling the trigger...

Have you looked at our sponsor The Wall Tent Shop? He sells the angle kits in a package with the tent. Lots of times, as with you, those things can make or break the value because they are so expensive. I've used Davis tents and prefer the WTS ones over theirs. Free shipping too which can also be a deal breaker.

I bought one from the Wall Tent Shop and I have been happy with it. I got the angle kit too and cut 1" conduit for poles. It was really easy.

Yep. 1 inch EMT from Home Depot or Lowes fits the angles. If they have two weights get the heavier one. Also.... instead of going at it with a hacksaw spend a few bucks and get a clamp on pipe cutter. Faster & easier, more accurate lengths, and less burrs which is really nice.

As far as quality of canvas and construction I can honestly say the Wall Tent Shop's stuff is as good as it gets. Get the Wilderness model in fire, water, and mildew proof. Only way to go and if you make sure it's dry as a bone at the end of each season it'll last a lifetime if set up correctly which includes a tarp over the roof.
