Game Cam SD Cards - Size/Make?

Postby WapitiTalk1 » 03 23, 2016 •  [Post 1]

Any preference on the size/make of your cam SD cards? I have a plethora of them and they all seem to do just fine for the period I set them out (let's say for a two month period). I have sizes ranging from 2GB up to 16GB but feel an 8GB is more than plenty. Make? I have cards from many different manufacturers but honestly, do not see the difference in pic quality between them. Any observations/thoughts from you WT cats?

I run all 16 and 32g. Depends on how remote. Im at the point now where i have so many cams that leaving some unchecked 6+ months is a given. Like to use the 32g cards on those. Only time i ever fill a card is if a mossy branch decides to droop down in front of the cam and trigger it nonstop for a couple months. 32g card is probably unnecessary, but makes me feel better about really long soaks. I use all sandisk but dont kniw if theyre better than any others.

I use 4 all the way up 16 gigs, even though I can get to my cameras pretty often. I leave mine on video, but if I was leaving em as long as some of you western guys, I doubt I'd be able to do that.
