First sprint tri

Finished my first sprint triathlon. For my first did pretty good, fifth overall and just a minute out of second place. Pretty sure I did an extra lap in the pool too after talking to spectators. Pretty fun to mix up the training into some competition to push a little harder. Have one more sprint and two Olympics still to go this summer, and aiming for the whole CDA Ironman August 2016 (subject to change after I see what happens Sunday in 106 degree heat!).

Awesome!! CDA is a fantastic race, and now that they moved it to August is should be even better. I raced it a couple of years ago and the water was riddiculously cold! Dwight Schuh from bowhunter magazine raced it that year. I will race it again one of theses years but will most likely be racing Wisconsin next year.

congrats! tris are fun. I did 3 years of sprints before moving up to a 1/3 ironman last year. I will do a full im one of these years in madison...
