Filling Water Bladder

Postby Dakota86 » 04 17, 2015 •  [Post 1]

What is the best way to fill my Eberlestock 3 liter bladder without taking it out of my pack? At home I have a tube that I put one end in a jug of water and the other I suck until I create a siphon and then quickly stick into the mouth piece. It works.... Alright and water can leak. At one time I saw you could buy an attachments but forgot which ones it where you can get them from. I am just curious as to how other people do it at your spike camp?

I use a Katadyn hiker pro set up with quick disconnects. I disconnect the mouth piece, connect the pump, pump it full... Never comes out of the pack. Disconnects I either bought from REI or off Amazon...

I have the same Katadyn as Brendan, it works fine! At home I remove bladder & fill!

Update: I couldn't remember the brand of bladder I have so I called it an Eberlestock water bladder. It is in fact a Source military water bladder. They have attachments you can buy from them to quick fill without taking it out of your pack. Which is impossible to put in your pack with water in it.
