break down pack frame

Can anyone recommend a good pack frame that collapses/breaks down? I like to hunt with a Tenzing 1270 fanny pack rather than a full size backpack or pack frame. Where I hunt I'm generally a few miles in on my mountain bike or on foot. Need something that I can carry attached to my fanny pack or strap to my bike while hunting, but then put together and use to pack out quarters or boned out meat without having to go back to the truck to get a pack frame.

One option I've been researching is the Rhino Pack. Looking for feedback if anyone has used one. Don't have a place nearby where I can put my hands on one in person. If you know of some other options please let me know.

Hey Elknut,

Here's a couple links. One is to a retailer and the second one is a youtube video showing how it assembles. I think the company that makes it also has a facebook page.

Are you still using an Eberlestock pack for your hunting and meat packing needs?

John, I did find the take down pack on youtube! Looks like it would do OK in a pinch or have waiting for you at your bike. I've never used one personally but I'm sure you could tough out loads of elk meat with it. Doesn't look to comfortable but you have to sacrifice a few things when using something like that.

I still have an X2 pack & it's OK for shorter meat hauling trips. I now use the Exo 3500 Pack, it's the best & lightest (5.5lb) All Purpose pack I've used, it's great for day hunts or packing over 100lb loads.
