Homemade bugle

Has anyone tried this? I was searching for homemade calls and seen this video. I can get larger diameter tubing from work thinking it may deepen the tone

I made one out of a wiffle ball bat. Easy to do and sounds fine. I have a couple that I've purchased also. I'm not a good enough caller to notice much difference between them.

I did the same sounded good,... until the neighbors dog chewed then took a leak on it, Just couldn't get the smell of dog off of it
