Sharpening broadheads with file video

Postby WYO_ELK » 08 11, 2014 •  [Post 1]

I want to start sharpening my Magnus stingers with a file and just wondering if you guys have any specific videos I should watch. I am sure I could search YouTube and find multiple videos, but I want to watch the videos that the experts go to. I am thinking about starting them with a mill file and then finishing with either ceramic sticks or a Arkansas stone, thoughts?

Nevermind this topic. Bought the file, and couldn't get my heads where I wanted them to be, so I broke out the old lansky and sharpened them right up. Just ordered a ceramic stone for my lansky, hopefully I can get them scary sharp

For two bladed heads you need to hold the exact angle on the file, that's a tough one! You would need the Lansky or better yet the KME sharpener or like sharpener that holds the blade in the needed angle. Once you have that now you have something! (grin)
