elite pulse opinions?

looking at an elite pulse, have a gt500..... any pulse experience out there? draw/ aftershot comparison to the gt500? any problems with the shorter brace height?

since i bought an Energy35, i joined the elite forum.

i did shoot my dealer's target pulse. DW was way down, so i couldnt tell really, but it was super smooth.

BUT!! if the elite forum is correct, if you shoot a pulse it will be magic. i think they make the riser out of unicorn bones, and the limbs from the tree branches of a weird elfin plant..after they kick the cookie baking elves out. it apparently is the cat's meow.

but they LOVE your gt500 too..which incidentally is the Elite that got me interested in the company!! what a bow!! i was just cash poor at the time.

I have an Energy 32, never shot the Pulse, but everything I read is good. But, the 70# er is supposedly a bit of a beast to draw.
You can't go wrong with an Elite.

i love my gt500.... love it. new limbs, strings, got a hamskea... and realized i'm left eye dominant. can't shoot with both eyes open, and i really would like to experience shooting with my dominant eye... i think it would enrichen everything. so i'm looking at lefty bows and the pulse caught my eye......
i'd be looking at 70#..... a beast to pull you hear.... that sounds less than awesome.....

i had a friend lend me a lefty mathews switchback. at 20 yards i was seriously good. after that, it went downhill. i think i could have mastered it..just fine. the HARDEST part was loading an arrow. very awkward for me.

and i am almost ambridextrous. being chinese, my mom thought it was wierd having a lefty kid, so she converted me. it sucks~~

i want to try a lefty bow again, but it will have to be a 60 bow.

Not a Pulse, but I'm shooting a 13 Answer and love it. 70#'s and it's a very smooth draw. JJoverkills kid who's shooting a 60# PSE had no issues shooting mine.

My son in law has an Answer, great, smooth bow, but a much different draw cycle than the Pulse. Not that the Pulse isn't a good bow, but just a lot better choices for a hunting bow in the Elite line.

My son & I are picking up the Elite Energy 32, it appears to be a great bow! Toby how do you like yours & what draw & poundage are you pulling?

Paul, I love my E32, I pull 62#'s with a 28" draw. I have a bad shoulder so keep my dw at 60#'s or less, but feel I could easily shoot this at 70#'s, if I thought it was necessary. I was a Mathews guy for over 15 year and owned a lot of them, they are great bows, but it like the Elite line much more. I owned a couple Elite Hunters prior to getting the 32, and they were very good bows as well. The 32 has more speed than the Hunter model, although I haven't put mine through the chronograph yet.

The draw cycle is fantastic, and you can tweak them to hold 10% or less if you want to. I have been shooting the last few nights, 30 yards an under, but I am very impressed with the forgiveness of the bow, it is simply an easy bow to shoot accurately. The fit and finish of Elites is second to none. The grip is different, smallish, which I like. They have a good thread on the Elite web page about the grip.

I built a draw board, very easy, and my son in law has a bow press, so we can tweak a little if we want. If you don't like to tinker, as with all bows, make sure the dealer has it set to specs before you try it or buy it. I am amazed at how many people shoot bows that are way out of spec. and never realize the full potential of that bow.

If I had to pick one complaint it would've the coating on the limb pockets and cams. It scratches and chips super easy.
