head lamp

I'm thinking about getting a good quality head lamp.I would prefer not to have one with any kind of propitiatory special batteries.In fact it would be best if it used AA size so it would be the same as my GPS

I just bought a black diamond. The rover or something. It is so much brighter than my 15 yr old petzls. I paid 29 bucks. On low I'm supposed to get 250 hours. Crazy.

Been thinking about this. A headlamp needs to do two things. Light up and stay wrap around my head. I think this is one item I don't need high tech. A $30 headlamp from today blows away my old petzls.
