Camping Gear all set!

Anyone else getting their gear together already? Picked up a big buddy 18,000 btu heater a couple of weeks ago, yesterday the 10x14 easy up tent came, today the rain fly and queen air mattress got here, those were the last pieces of the puzzle as far as the base camp was concerned. We have everything we need if we have to spike out. Hopefully going to set the tent up in the back yard before it gets warm and do a dry run. So pumped to hop in the truck the end of October and burn rubber heading west!

Ghost don't know if it was just me but I had to put a couple of extra blankets under my sleeping bag to stay warm sleeping on a air mattress. Even with a heater on it allways was cold from the ground.

I had to bring my tent to a gal in town who is putting new zippers on it for me. So yep I'm all ready getting ready to go.

Oh yeah thats good advice, air mattress's do tend to suck the heat out of you, we plan on laying a -10 sleeping bag down on top of the air mattress and then our sleeping bags, and if I get cold Ill just snuggle up closer to my girl!! Got to love a girl that hunts Though by day 4, spooning might be off the table

I need a warm NON-windy day to seam seal my tents. Otherwise, I'm still in accumulation mode.

I always have my family camping stuff ready in a couple huge tupperware bins, but my hunting stuff is separate and I'm waiting for the pile to be done growing before putting it in its own bin.

I have some minor things I would like to work on, but if this was August and the season started next Saturday, I could be ready to head to camp Monday morning. I start going over my stuff and fixing and prepping my stuff as soon as I return from camp. It helps to have the things I am concerned with, fresh on my mind, or set out so I don't lose track of what needs taken care of.

Getting gear delivered really gets me going. If it wasnt for fishing and turkey hunting, Id go nuts!

Im sorta always ready.
Im ready for Friday boy scout trip. It will take me less than a minute to put everything in the truck.
Everything is stacked by the wall in my garage including food snacks and water

I am piling up gear for my first ever elk hunt and mountain trip. My house is a routine stop for the UPS driver these days. I've yet to pay retail for things they've all been steep discounts or coupon buys. I got a new Mountainsmith apex 100 pack which is great and has plenty of room for all the goodies. If hunting elk is half as much fun as getting prepared to hunt elk consider me a new convert to the elk addiction. Anyone ever use Ledge products? I have a backpacking tenet from them and it seems to be a good deal for the price. I set it up in the last rain/wind storm and it stayed erect and dry. (35mph)
