New toy

I finally bought a new bow. It's a 2013 Elite Answer, 29" DL, 70#'s loaded with Spot Hogg Real Deal sight, QAD HDX, and Elite 5 arrow quiver. Now to get some new arrows and dial it in.

Sweet! Nothing rekindles the drive to get it done like a new bow. Go get em tiger!!!!

Just don't add that in to your cost per pound of elk meat.

The Answer is a great bow, I am a big Elite fan and have owned several including the E32 that I am now shooting. They have a great draw cycle and dead solid back wall, not to mention the lifetime transferable warranty. My son in law has an Answer and it is a tack driver. Good luck.

I've been wanting one of these for awhile and love how they shoot. I took it out last night and flung some arrows that are too soft for it but still came back with decent groups for my first time shooting it. Now to pull the entire package together and bring home an elk.

cant wait to shoot it tomorrow hey heres a thought. Cameron has the exact arrows you want to get. lets see how they fly for ya. I think his arrows are 1/2" longer than yours.

Not all of us prefer or feel the need to shoot vertical crossbows. And we'll see what you have to say when I buy a Full Throttle next year.

as far as the FT, once I shoot an elk with my omen than I can let it go, im really thinking about an 80# FT from PSEs custom shop

I have to admit your elite shot very nice. I wish it had adjustable mods to set it to 30". the draw is smooth, very smooth. it felt like I was going to rip the draw stops out of the cam on the first draw. im use to shooting my omen which has a big hump in the draw cycle. at 70#s its a great shooter and very good bow for ya. now we just need to get a bull in front of ya.

JJ, that big hump in your draw cycle is exactly what I dislike about the omen. Very hard on my shoulders to have a hump that dumps into the valley. Every PSE I've shot is guilty of this. But I've not shot them all.

I shot JJ's son's Dream Season and it did not have a noticeable hump like his Omen or the Full Throttle. IIRC, the Source wasn't bad either.
His son's bow was 60lbs but it drew almost as smooth as my Elite. With that said, his son had no issues shooting my 70lb Elite yesterday.

I love my new elite. My shoulder is less sore now after long shooting sessions. Congrats on the new bow.
