Badlands Pack warranty is pretty awesome.

i destroyed my badlands 2800. i took out the alum stays so i could fold the pack into a smaller/cheaper box.

i put red tape on every hole and worn strap on the pack. one hole is inside a pocket..i imagine it will be a challenge to repair. in total, there were eight damage spots.

i kept getting email dings/notifications.

one when they got the pack.
one to tell me it is being processed
and just now..the final ding..it is being shipped back to me. just got the tracking number.

wow!!! super fast. two days between "processed" and "shipped". i cant wait to find out if they just gave me a new pack. or they have super fast sewing repair personnel..either way, awesome warranty support.

i'm still probably gonna get a different daypack. i kinda like the Mystery ranch longbow..or Stone glacier, approach.

My guess is they shipped a new one. They have the quickest turnaround of any company I know and they don't hesitate to go the replace route over repair.

Badlands makes a solid pack! My son & I have hauled out near 15 bulls with this pack. I'm not one to worry about a missing zipper pull, it's not really a big deal. We've never had the zipper itself break only the small pull on them, not a big deal. They are a super tough pack & we've hauled out a half an elk in them on one load many times. Maybe not the most comfy pack but it rates right up there with one of the toughest packs around.

I do like the pack. It is tough. I had elk quarters strapped in tight and i was motoring thru the woods.

I do hate a few of the features. All if which seem fixed on the latest version. Except maybe the small square water bladder pocket. The new one doesn't have the extra access zipper on the backside.

I think they shipped a new one back to me. The ship date is the same as the received day.

The warranty is very good. Vortex good:)

The model they recently reinvented is the 2200. It now has 2900 ci of space and yes... they eliminated all the problems in layout that the last version had. You can get to everything now even with a quarter strapped on. Meat shelf is improved, way better pouches on waist belt. Way shorter waist belt. I love it. I bet they don't redesign it for 10 years now.

Received and shipped the same day... yep, you're getting a new pack. I would ask them if you could get a 2200 instead of the same design of the 2800. Last time, the only time, I got a replacement I asked if I could get a different one although it was the same model. They had shipped me an old 2200 and I said I was willing to wait 6 months for the new version. I think they shipped it the same day it got off the boat from China or wherever. I must have had the 1st one known to man. lol They're fast. Nice people too. No attitudes when you need service. I like that.

90% sure the 2800 is a doodoo..extinct.

i got my old pack back.

i had to fix a rip in the wood two years ago..i cant sew, at all. apparently, my repair met their requirements because they left it alone depite me marking it as a needed fix. it is rather butt ugly.

i am actually stunned they could sew mine up so quickly. i applaud Badlands for the awesome customer service, but it is time to step my daypack game.
