remote cell phone charger

There's been a couple threads about cell phone battery life. My daughters got Rayovac 2 Hour Power chargers for christmas. They claim to charge your phone in 30 minutes and use a replaceable CR123A battery. I think the are about $40 and come with one battery. I haven't used it yet but it looks like it would fill a need, especially in a survival situation.

my friend got a Microstart for a gift.
he loves the thing. it is the size of a small book..he jumped started his old car..3 times!!
he said it comes with all the attachements to charge things like phones. if it could jump a car 3 times..imagine how many times it would charge up a phone.

about $125. i have no personal experience.

I got one of those booster for my dad a couple years ago, boost cars, air compressor, light, inflates mattress, usb, 110V ac for 135$ We used the crap out of that thing. finally welded the on off switch working on/jumping off a John deere 3010. Still works just have to be carefull with the cables.

I got one of these chargers several years ago and would get 3 complete recharges to my Iphone 4s from about 15% battery on the phone. I could not find it before last deer season so I ordered 2 more but they dont work quite as well as the original one. The new ones were less than 1/2 the price as the original one I got.

I carry one of two portable chargers. I travel a bit with work and use these a lot and they work well. They are both by energizer, the Energi - to - go, or the Energizer instant charge. they both run on AA batteries and will get a couple complete charges from them. I have the i-phone 5 so had to buy a 30 pin to lightning cable. I use my phone as a camera, back up GPS and with the inReach for communications while in the back country. The weight is a couple of oz.so no real penalty if you count your pack weight.

If it's a USB style charger check out the goal zero Nomad 3.5 or 7. I took one on the Grand Canyon this year and the thing was awesome.

A buddy that i work with has one a BioLite camp stove. It has has thermal generator in it. He said it work pretty well.

I have 2 Biolite camp stoves (gifts, couldn't return em). If anybody wants one I'd part with em for cheap as they are useless to me (to big/heavy for my style of hunting).
