Just wondering what you have done to modify any existing gear

I did modify access to my rangefinder, I used a partial buckle from the Range Snap & then added a ladies bungee type 1/4" rope like material, it stretches very well, it's 6" long or so but stretches out to over 20". It's clipped to my back pack shoulder strap at near collar bone level. It's always there & I can never lose it if I have to let go of it quickly. It rides very solid & doesn't flop around if I need to move quickly, I really like it!

i had a big hog at 40 yards when i let the arrow fly. it flew alright..about 2 feet over the hogs shoulders. my friend asked me, "huh, which hog were you aiming at?" (there was only one hog visible)

i felt like an idiot. i tried to envision the shot. i dont know what i did. to make it easier, i took a white paint pen and marked all of my "even" pins. now i can look for the second white dot and know i am looking at my 40 pin. i think it may work. now i just have to find another rare hog standing still.

i also put the squeeky bulb from a toy into the useless pockets of my FHL bino case. now i have a varmint call really close and ready if i see a coyote. it works well. i had 3 dogs come at me on when i was mountain biking.

A put a piece of white sewing thread about 9 inches long on my bowstring just below the idler wheel so I can always check the wind without getting the puffer bottle out every time. Also have one on the end of my Chuckler tube. Completely cover the site window with moleskin. Whip all serving ends with dental floss or put a drop of super glue on them. Cover all shiny things on my bow with flat black model paint.

I think the Chuckler grunt tubes are the best on the market. But I modify them as well by changing the mouth piece end to suit me.

I'm never really happy with most things I buy without adding my personal touch to them! There are tons of others but this is a starter.

I recently purchased a new Bear Grizzly recurve.
It is a bit longer [56"] and more poundage [55lb] than my old Kodiak Magnum

The old KMag had just too much stack and finger pinch

The new bow shoots really sweet!
It will be my tree stand bow

So as I was tinkering with it, I took a piece of fletching and lightly glued it to the rest.
I can now cant the bow over to the left without the arrow leaving the rest.
Which will be good for negotiating tree limbs

turned my black gold flashpoint sight from a 5 pin to a 2 pin. one at 30, one as a 'trick'. always 2 points to coroborate one another. way nicer sight window.... wasn't liking the clutter of 5 pins. rubbed some silicone stripes on sleeping pad so i don't slip off....

I seem to have my problems with generic bow mounted quivers. It seems to make no difference how expensive or how good the name on the quiver is. I have had to modify the mounting brackets on several of them so they don't move around, rattle or just to get them to fit right. Sometimes my son in law, who is a machinist, gets a special job. The result always makes the quiver look like it was designed for that bow.

I have a pair of hiking boots that let my foot slide forward a bit too much when walking down hill. Everything else about the boot was just as I like. I glued a strip of fleece onto the underside of the tongue and now my foot stays where it belongs with no sliding.
Kind of a Bubba fix, however it really did help.
