going to shoot a new ELITE bow tomorrow!!

damn, i cant wait.

i just kinda dont like my bow. i cant describe it, but it just doesnt fit me like a glove. i have to kinda wiggle into my anchor, if that even makes sense. i shoot it fine, just crammed 5 arrows into the tiniest spot on my target. some broadheads, some fieldtips.

i think it is time for a change. you know? looking for my "forever bow". i just want one i can shoot for a gosh darn long time.

i think the ELITE 32 is a good jumping off point. about the right ATA and brace height for me. actually this may be the longest axle to axle bow i have ever wanted to own. crazy huh? bows are just short now..but my DL is 28"..so a 32" ATA should be a sweet spot for me.!!! 7" brace height is standard for me.

anyone else bow shopping?

Cliff, I took the plunge on an Elite Pure in May of 2012. Feels like an extension of my body, smooth as silk.

I think you are going to be in trouble after shooting that bow!

get ready to fall in LOVE!!! i have spent the last few weeks shooting everything possible. Elite has been my fav. The hunter was it for me. although the pure, pulse, and 32 were sweet. the hunter just seemed to feel as though it were an extension of my hand. very forgiving, absolutely no vibration-jump-or hand shock, fast, awesome draw cycle and solid back wall--could hold forever and i was pulling 80#--and very accurate. im going with the snow camo all the way through. why?? because it just looks way too cool! seriously though, saw some black and whites of them and they just disappear--very cool. i shot a few others that shot well also--Bowtech Experience, G5 Prime, Chill, and Carbon Matrix all shot nice but just didnt feel or shoot the way the Elites did. Of the others i tested--the Experience was a very close 2nd. If anybody is looking for a good bow as a backup, for a new shooter, etc PM me. 2007 Hoyt Vulcan, 28" 70#, new cables/strings last year-sight-rest-quiver.

well, that was AWFUL!

i did fall in love. now i am in that situation where i love TWO!! the energy 32 and the Energy 35. the energy 32 was set up poorly. the arrows fishtailed away. it was clearly a centershot problem. they just slapped on a crappy rest..i was way out away from the riser. so i think that is why i felt the bump. but darn it if the bows were not the smoothest, silkiest bows ever. i was going to full draw and just sitting there, locked. then if i wanted i could let down halfway..and pull it right back. let up quarter way..pull back. it was so easy for a 70lb bow!! the Energy 35 had ZERO hand shock. just phoosh!! arrow away. the longer ATA makes the string perfect for my stubby nose. it just barely kisses my nose. it fits nice!

now i have to choose! the extra 3" riser will make it a tiny bit more awkward strapping it to my pack. it felt long and tall. but very stable. i bet in the long run, i am more accurate with it. i would have to order one. grrr!
the 32..was a speedster. it is 2" longer than my current bow. amazing too shoot. i told them to fix centershot before i buy. they agreed and actually will set up both bows similar to help me decide.

my bowshop..nobody could tell me what DL the bow was. i had to tell them a #5 was 28". i hope they tune better than read the owners manuals.

i did hold a E35 in 27" DL that was a 60lb bow. i bet i could hold full draw forever. it just sat there..like i had to push the arrow away from me.

I have been eyeing the E32 for some time since they released them. I would like to get one next to some of the hoyts. I know what you mean about the wiggle to find your anchor. I do the same with my bowtech guardian.

love my elite! i have a gt500 and it is ridiculously easy to draw 70 and hold...... so much so that i want to go 80.......... can't imagine the buttery draw of the new guys.
can't say enough about their warranty too.... i have gotten new limbs for a used bow that i recieved with a damaged limb. the damage appeared due to poor packaging and they still hooked me up! it was a painless non issue that was taken care of imediately by the company (there was no dealership involved), all over 2 emails and a 1 minute phone call.

gasp! Energy 35. opted for the longer ATA to give me every advantage at the long shot.

now to spec out the rest of the stuff. thinking Trophytaker smackdown pro. limb driven.
