Bully bull tube mods

I bought the bb bully bull tube and was wondering if anyone does any modifications to it to make it more user friendly like mods to the mouth end or mods to the tube for sound improvement? The tube sounds great as i got it so i was just wondering if anyone has any tips tricks on mods for it.. Thanks!

It's a good bugle, but the mouthpiece is less than an inch & has a sharp edge to it, very tough for newer users of the bugle & mouth reed. The Chuckler EL that we produce has a similar body style but has the 1 - 1/4" opening for mouth reed use. To get that sized mouth opening we have to use a heat gun on all mouthpieces, one end is flared out to 1 - 1/4" & the other end is heat shrunk to the end of tube, the total length is about a 2" addition. That's quite a bit on the Bully Bull, it would be in the 22" - 23" total length. The finished Chuckler EL is 18". I'll try & post a photo of both openings to show you the difference & you can decide what's best for you! It is possible to adapt a mouthpiece to it.

I never had the Bully Bull but I've modified some of Rockies other tubes and I've done a bunch of Elknut's Chucklers.

Everyone is different. And for me, the Bully Bull has a WAY to small mouth piece. And the Chuckler EL is too large for my liking. Both have great sound quality but I always modify the ends of every tube I own. I have found that those plastic tubes you see 3D shooters have in their quivers is just the perfect size to suit me. So I always re-do the end on every grunt tube I have with one. Just an inch or so is plenty to glue in place.

Also if a grunt tube has a curled over lip on the big end, I like to drill either 3 or 4; 1/2 inch holes in the lip. I think it improves the sound.
