It has been hit and miss with a email notification and sometimes even a phone call was thrown in. They have always made their est ship date if not it has come a few days early.

I think they are late with mine. No rainbow beams or unicorn farts in my email today. :(

Hi all, I'm new here!

My bikini timberline was supposed to ship on Monday, the 19th. Still no email and I'm going crazy waiting to get it, adjust it, and pack it up for my coming elk hunt! (First ever!!). I'm crossing my fingers for an email tomorrow!!

Jim, welcome to the Forum! Click on the Kifaru Banner above when it shows up in it's 5 second showing, then go to their "contact" link & you can email, Aron, Angie or Heath. Angie or Heath will most likely be able to answer any questions quickly for you! Thanks.

Thanks Elknut! I think I'll wait a few more days to call them. I'm sure they are busy trying to fill all of the orders from the hunters that waited until the last minute to pull the trigger on their packs! I'll give them a call if I don't get a shipping notice by Monday of next week. I've been gazing out the window lately, hoping the guy in the big brown truck pulls up with a box the size of a pack, though!

Thanks again for the email a few weeks back! I can't remember if I responded or not. After my calls broke in a bit, they seemed to fit better and are working great. I'll be ordering a few spares soon. Only 3 weeks until my first ever elk hunt!! I'll be sure to take a lot of pictures and post the story here when I get home! I've been listening to your CDs nonstop on my commute to and from work, and am feeling more and more confident every day!

Alright, I couldn't take it. I had to give Kifaru a call and get the scoop. Sounds like my pack will ship out early next week at the soonest. So, they are about a week or a little more behind. Sure hope I get it before Labor Day weekend as I had one day planned to do nothing but pack and prepare for elk hunting. Might be pushing it shipping to Minnesota, though!! I'm crossing my fingers!

very annoying.

i missed my last opening day because of illness. i found solace in the fact that the "next time" i go out, i will have a badass pack on my back. it was my silver lining, my glass half full, etc. my next trip is this coming wednesday, if work issues come together.

man, i wont have my pack..AGAIN!

we have this bridge in my area. the Bay Bridge. connects san francisco and oakland. we are CLOSING it wednesday night, because we have built a new structure, and traffic will be shifted from the old bridge to the new. if my timing is wrong..and with my recent string of luck..it will be wrong. my pack will ship to my office and i wont even be able to reach, without a huge commute thru heavy traffic.

maybe i will just work the opening, and make overtime pay. damn. that project is begging for me.

Pointysticks,

I'd be really bummed too. Luckily my hunt is still almost 3 weeks away, so I'll get mine in time. The extra wait is just a little bit of torture, as if 2 months wasn't enough!! I noticed, after checking out my account on the Kifaru website for the 1,000th time, that you can edit your shipping address. Maybe you could get a hold of them and have it shipped somewhere without the traffic nightmare. Maybe you could even convince them to get yours shipped a bit earlier, or try to get some quicker shipping method out of them since it isn't on time. For how much those packs cost, I would hope just maybe they would be willing to do that for you, just so you could have it for the hunt. Heck, tell them to delay mine for an extra day if it means getting yours done in time!!

Good luck!

This is what the zipper looks like on the bottom of a terminus bag. I opened it for the pic.

Luckily I have until October for my hunt but need it for a scouting trip Sept 14th so I hope I will get it in time. The bigger risk is that I also bought a spike camp for my son because I could not find any packs that worked for him. That one is due Sept 13 and so hoping it is ready by Oct.

I got my shipping notice FINALLY!!! Unfortunately, it still won't arrive for almost a week! I'm super excited it's on it's way, but also pretty disappointed I won't have it before the long weekend. In the long run, it's not a big deal, but my whole weekend was going to be centered around packing for the hunt which is kind of hard, well, without a pack! Anyways, it's good to know it's coming. I can't wait to try it out.

Hope you all get similar emails very soon!

My pack is sitting literally 10 minutes away from me right now, but UPS will not allow me to pick it up or switch delivery to a local UPS store (in which case I could pick it up tomorrow) until after the first delivery attempt, which isn't until Tuesday!! The torture continues....... Kifaru could change the delivery location and make it happen, but their shipping department is off for the holiday weekend. I guess God just does not want me to have my pack to play with this weekend. Hopefully he makes up for it by surrounding me with bugling bulls in a couple weeks, and keeping the grizzlies away!
