12 DAYS packed in my SG Solo

Postby G Posik » 08 25, 2013 •  [Post 1]

Well Tuesday I am headed to the Mountains of Colorado for 12 days of elk hunting. I have everything packed and ready to go, SG Solo with the convenience bag and 2 spotting scope pockets. Still have just a little bit of room left. 56#'s with 3L bladder full of water.

That may be easier than packing an entire car full of items that you can do without. Looks efficient.

Good Luck and safe travels.

Food consists of a couple of Mtn House meals. Mostly home made dehydrated meals. Lunch is the PB, honey, bacon on a bagel. Some granola bars and oat meal for breakfast.

Mtnmutt- try to leave the car load of stuff in the car. That is why I like to get away from the truck when hunting. Before you know it you need a 16' trailer to carry everything.

Looking at the pack you could use some Velcro straps on the back. I believe Kurt has an attachment for rifle and for bows. Since I shoot a long bow I just carry it. I would think the Velcro straps would be really good.

Thanks for the well wishes. The group I hunt with is fun the entire time. I am hoping to get a couple of them to kill their first elk. If I can call one in for them and they put the Watusi on them, that will make me HAPPY!

That's a nice looking pack. Do they have a website?

Schnee sells them. i believe they are the only dealer. they are really slamming sales. most are backordered. good for them!
