Black Gold Customer Service

Postby cnelk » 07 26, 2013 •  [Post 1]

Well you just cant beat good customer service!

I have a Montana BG Flashpoint that about 4 years old.
I noticed today that my sight frame base developed a small crack at the dove-tail where the sight housing attaches

I called MBG to see if another frame base was available, and guess what...

It is covered under warranty and a new frame base is being sent to me...

How about that!

Great people to deal with and super customer service. Ripcord is another company that takes good care of their customers.

I've never had to warranty anything with Black Gold, but when I've dealt with them on the phone to get custom parts they have been extremely helpful! I'm shooting Spot Hogg this year, who also has great customer service, but I have nothing bad to say about a Black Gold sight!

I have to second that! I just recently ordered a Black Gold Ascent 5 Pin sight for my bow. As I went to mount it on my bow, I realized I was missing the little screw that tightens the dovetail on the horizontal axis adjustment. It's possible the screw fell out of the packaging when I first opened it and I just didn't notice or they may have somehow just missed a screw on that particular sight (I realize that kind of thing happens to any company on occasion), but when I called them up and let them know my situation they were super helpful and friendly. They got me a new screw sent out that day and to my door within a few days.

We're getting close to our archery openers here in Utah and I needed to get that thing going ASAP. I was really impressed with their willingness to take care of me especially given the fact that it may not have even been their fault. Great sights, great company, and even better customer service!

P.S. Did I mention we sell BlackGold bow sights on http://www.BlackOvis.com? ;)

I was just on the phone with Dustin at Montana Black Gold earlier today with some questions about some of their new sights. Great Customer service!
They totally stand behind their products! I have many of their sights. They are a very good value. Pair them with a Tight Spot Quiver and you are good to go!

Has anyone sent in a MBG sight to have one of the pins changed out? If so, how long did it take? I will have to refrain from shooting for 6 weeks Oct-Nov for surgery, so I thought this would be good time to get it swapped out.

I have a custom 5 pin MBG with all green pins and need the middle pin changed to red. I occasionally choose the wrong pin when I wasn't paying attention well.

If only I had taken Steve's advice at sandsarchery to select a middle pin of red, I would not have this issue. Lesson learned.

Give Justin a call and tell him your situation [he is the one I talked to also]
He may be able to walk you thru the change out without having to send it in.
