Postby Lefty » 05 30, 2026 •  [Post 1]

Many of the Scent reducing products were placed on sale at our local Walmarts
I missed the $1,00 for everything at our local store
I use the body and shampoo wash all year . And stocked up on Body wash and field spay

Scend blockers and scent cover up are a sales gimmick. The wind is your best friend or it can be your worse enemy.

But you can minimize your scent with just two or three home products: Baking soda, Hydrogen peroxide, and Arm + Hammer scent free laundry soap.

Figure out how to use them properly and you will increase your odds signifentally and save yourself a little money as well.

Good point, Bill. I don't use baking soda or hydrogen peroxide, but basically the same idea you described above. I use scent free soap and shampoo on my body and Arm and Hammer laundry soap. I wash daily and change my clothes frequently.

I havent believed in cover scents. As far as blockers I always referred to them as scent reducers or neutralizers.

And using it all properly says it all

Used a 1/2 a bottle of $3.50 while in the blind the past few days. Wildlife research Gold
Two times, two different bears, arms reach from me for some time Then the bull elk for at least 45 minutes

I use it all for what it offers Silver, Ozone, sodium's , Zeolite, oxidizers ,,,,

Kind of interesting a long ago customer created a charcoal fabric/clothing lines and made his millions, and other than my aquarium I haven't used charcoal

If you want to reduce your scent, start with your breath. That is by far and away giving off the most scent. Keep clean, use unscented products and you will reduce your scent profile. Reduce, not eliminate. that has always been my thinkin'.

My first elk hunts,, the fellas I was invited to hunt with with ,,, their breath was of little concern.. They didnt think it was a good idea to wash their hunting clothes year to year and werent suppose to shower until you got your elk,,,,

My 2nd time hunting with them I took my own tent( no stove) one morning it was -18.
