Alright I'll join in!

Postby POk3s » 06 01, 2012 •  [Post 1]

Been a few turkey vids posted so I figured I'd post this. This was during my annual trip to the black hills this spring. It's a short clip of a bird that hung up just out of view. I had him fired up and don't know why he didn't come in. Only thing I can think is that we were too close to the "boss tom" who was just over the hill behind us with a ton of hens, and this bird had already gotten his butt kicked. Anyway, here is the video of him fired up. I am doing the calling.

I was able to get my revenge as I killed him a few days later....

Paul, that's because we never got to see him either until we put the 'ol sneak on him LOL. I just posted it as it showed how much he gobbled. I had him coming in on a string from about 400 yards out. That's a guess as I was barely able to hear him the first time he gobbled and he quickly closed the gap. Then he just stood over there and gobbled at everything I threw at him but wouldn't commit. Me and my buddies then spread out in attempts of killing him but his sixth sense told him to get out of there.
