Montana Turkey Decoys

Postby SD220 » 02 22, 2014 •  [Post 1]

Has anyone used these? Camofire has a good deal on a set of three for 30 dollars. I seem to remember hearing something about the 2D decoys scaring turkeys years ago but I don't remember where I heard it. Thoughts?

I used the Punk Jake, Teaser Hen setup for the last 2 years and they have done well for me.

I have also use the Heads Up Turkey Decoy with success. I generally use this if I need to stalk within range. It's a great "ace in the pack" when you can't get them to come into the decoys.

I really like them when I have a good walk to my where I am bowhunting the birds. As the decoys are a bit too much sometimes on those longer hauls.

Thanks Winded. I ended up purchasing the punk jake and two hens. We'll see what happens in about three weeks.

Wow, that's a heck of a deal! I was at Cabela's the other day and didn't really like any of the ones I saw, and they had no Montana's. I looked these things up online and they look great. Very realistic, including the fan. Looks like Camofire doesn't have them anymore. Guess I'll have to go through Amazon . . . and hope I don't get my card information jacked. LOL

We have a few of the Heads Up Decoys left with bow mounts and universal clamps.

is there a lot of effort in making sure the decoy is facing the turkey?

my luck, the tom will just see a turkey colored line..they would come in the edge direction.

I am sorry for the delay in response, as I have been out with a recent eye surgery.
So, my wife is reading these for me and typing the info in!

Washington Wapiti >
The Teaser Hen has been discontinued.

We stock the Punk Jake and the new Dinner Belle Hen and Spring Fling Hen.

All 3 retail for $29.97 each

But, as ElkNuts, just enter the code "elknuts" during checkout to receive 5% Off each item.

The MT Decoys have been moving very well this spring!

pointysticks >
My efforts weren't that intensive, as I just staked them in the ground, facing the direction I "hoped" they would come from and that was it!

It's a bummer that I have not been able to get out, hopefully I can catch the last week or 2.
